Gaijin is a blog dedicated to reviewing Japanese restaurants across Asia. We have an insatiable addiction to Japanese food of all sorts and spend every waking moment planning our next meal.

Gaijin.com is an outlet to air our thoughts and experiences of some of the more 'buzzing' and authentic Japanese establishments that we come across.

Everyone has a different experience at every venue, every time. From the taste of fresh flown-in uni, to a memorable yaki-onigiri, or a random 'kanpai' with a chef - it's all about having a great time and appreciating the art.

We are not professionals, we just love Japanese food.

All of our reviews are independent and anonymous. The restaurant does not know we are going to write or post anything.

The Gaijin behind the keyboard

Gaijin is operated by a gaijin and his Japanese wife. While you will find that many of our experiences are in our home base of Singapore, we will do our best to post some of our favorite experiences when traveling abroad (particularly Japan, Bangkok).
